Meet Tara
Tara O’Donoghue is a yoga teacher (500 RYT) and trauma informed Yoga Therapist (TIYT, C-IAYT) with over 1,200 hours of accredited training and 8 years teaching experience. She started LOV Yoga after caregiving for and eventually losing a loved one to cancer and now specializes in yoga therapy for cancer, grief, trauma and perinatal support.
As the founder of LOV Yoga, Tara is a creative soul with a BS in Education and experience as an elementary school teacher turned small business entrepreneur. She traded her decade of owning 2 coffee shops (Yeti’s Grind) for teaching yoga after feeling the therapeutic, healing power of these practices first hand.
While grieving, Tara pursued yoga therapy studies with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy. Since 2018, she has served cancer patients and caregivers, working for organizations such as First Descents, Cactus Cancer Society, Cancer Support Community and more (see below). Tara was grateful for her yoga therapy practice while going through fertility, prenatal, postpartum and now into perimenopause. Through this lived experience combined with an IAYT certification, Tara now specializes in guiding women through these delicate transitions in life. Growing through what we go through…
LOV Yoga offerings include classes, workshops, blog posts and custom yoga and wellness programs for individuals and groups. Contact Tara to learn more about how yoga therapy can help bring greater vitality of body, mind and soul.
“Tara and her Lov Yoga sessions have been a godsend in my cancer recovery. It’s so powerful to have someone meet you where you are and find ways for you to tap into the potential you thought you’ve lost. My heart is full, my mind is free and my body is thankful after every session.”
